Redeemer Summer Kamp is a week long sleep away camp for kids entering 3rd – 9th grade. We rent a beautiful camp facility in western Michigan each year where Campers spend a week in a rustic outdoors setting enjoying typical camping activities such as crafts, boating, fishing, hayrides, games, campfires, etc. Our program is combined with Bible study, worship and singing which all takes place in a safe Christian environment. click here to read more about our Kamp mission, camp facilities and staff.

Kamp 2018 – 170 campers+50 staff
Redeemer Summer Kamp has been operating continuously for 54 years. Kamp is one of our most successful and exciting programs here at Redeemer in terms of both Christian Education and Evangelism. In recent years, nearly half the campers are NOT members of Redeemer. We are an old school summer camp program. We spend most of every day outside swimming, crafting, and playing games. We welcome all children of Redeemer to join us at Kamp. Friends are always welcome. Kamp truly is a life changing experience for those that join us – your children will have an amazing week, making new Kamp friends and developing a stronger relationship with Christ Jesus.
Our Camp director, Tim Springer, is a life-long Redeemer Member who started at Redeemer Summer Kamp as a 3rd Grade Camper. He has been on Kamp staff for 25 years and 2024 will be his 12th year as Director. He is an active member at Redeemer and a member of the Redeemer Board of Elders.
Assistant Director, Sean McCauley started as a camper many years ago and has been on staff for over 18 years, including 12 years on senior staff. Sean is a middle school math teacher and regular volunteer with Redeemer’s Senior high youth program.
Assistant Director/ Kamp Registrar Erin Springer started as a camper in 5th grade. She has been on staff for 20 years, including 10 years as camp registrar/assistant director.
Our Administrative Director, Laura McDonald, is also a life long Redeemer member, and camper. She has been on staff with us for 19 years and is now a full time employee at Redeemer as Minister of Family Life, Middle School Ministry, Missions and Outreach.
We bring all our own staff members with us to camp. All our Counselors and Counselors in Training are active high school and college members/friends of Redeemer and are vetted and hired by a board of lay church members who all are former campers and staff members of Redeemer Summer Kamp. We even bring our own Camp Nurse with us who is a RN, Redeemer Member and former camper and counselor at Kamp.
